Astrid Lahousse

Astrid Lahousse is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and a PhD Fellow at the Research Foundation Flanders – FWO in Belgium. She began her PhD research at VUB, focusing on ”The effect of pain neuroscience education and behavioral graded activity compared to usual care on chronic pain in breast cancer survivors: a randomized controlled trial.”

Astrid continues her research on side effects in cancer survivors at VUB and has (co-) authored 17 publications in peer-reviewed journals. She has also contributed to an editorial series on ”Comprehensive Pain Management.”

In addition to her academic work, Astrid volunteers as a physiotherapist at the University Hospital Brussels, providing care to patients with chronic pain. She organizes lectures for clinicians and patients, demonstrating her dedication to improving care for cancer survivors.
